June is a month when we go toward summer, with trees becoming greener and greener.

We’d like to introduce you to five sool brands perfect for drinking in summer.

SUCRE (ABV 10%)

SUCRE is takju with a great balance of fragrant mugwort.

The name of this traditional takju combines the French word sucré (sugar) and the medicinal herb of ssuk  (mugwort).

When you drink it, the scent of mugwort will tickle your nose, and soft sweetness will linger in your mouth.

Yeonhui Mint (ABV 9%)

Yeonhui Mint is minty makgeolli offering a refreshing scent of mint.

The cool mint flavor of this traditional sool will be perfect for enjoying in June.

Minari Singsingju (ABV 14.5%)

Minari Singsingju is made with minari, the crunchy and aromatic Korean water dropwort.

It tastes smooth and refreshing in your mouth and leaves a minari flavor as it goes down your throat. The cheongju has impressively subtle sweetness and refreshing drinkability.

Bamboo Leaf Wine (ABV 12%)

Bamboo Leaf Wine is yellow yakju with a light green shade. The first sip will taste sweet, balanced by various tasty and fragrant medicinal herbs—it might as well be called Korean whiskey.

The yakju is delicately sweet with many medicinal herbs, going down the throat very cleanly.

Ogyeri Cheongsu White (ABV 12.5%)

Ogyeri Cheongsu White is a dry wine. The wine is pleasantly sweet and light-bodied, with excellent flavors in your mouth.

Cheongsu is a Korean grape variety developed by the Rural Development Agency. The grapes give the wine a balanced, sweet, and fresh quality.
