- According to the ‘Act on Promotion of Korean Traditional Liquor Industries,' Korean traditional liquor is following liquor shall be referred to
-
- ❶ an alcoholic beverage made by a holder of an intangible cultural heritage in the liquor sector,
- ❷ an alcoholic beverage made by a Korea Grand Master,
- ❸ and an alcoholic beverage made with agricultural products directly produced by an agricultural or fishery business entity or a producers’ organization (local specialty liquor)
- Conventional meaning
- An alcoholic beverage made with a method passed down from the past in a country or a region, inheriting and preserving the traditional method.
It can be defined as an alcoholic beverage reflecting the emotion and the state of Korea, depicting the lifestyle of the past, history, and culture.
